The Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET) was set up in 1935, and it is under the constituency of Aligarh Muslim University. The college has 113 acres which are 22960 sq.m. This college has been identified among the top 400 colleges across the country. India Today ranked it as 21st in the category of ‘’India’s Best Engineering College’’ and Outlook has ranked it 35th in the “Top engineering Colleges 2015”.

Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET) has about 11 Departments of studies including the Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate and other higher educational degrees. With the best faculty in the college has a huge number of students taking admission every year. This college also offers the residential facility, most of the students and faculty. They have two halls for men residentials and one for women. These three halls facilitate more than 1000 students over here. The college offers a stage to all the students to showcase their talent which is known as CEC that is the Cultural Education Centre. The college also offers a Residential Coaching Academy(RCA), this facilitates for a hostel tuition facility for the candidates who want to take coaching for Civil Service. No class id hampered due to an electrical fault, there is a 24*7 power back up in the college. The RCA also prepares the students for all other national level exams like GATE.
